Donut Vase #3

Description

I have developed a bit of a fascination with donut vases – technically a ceramic torus – because they’re one of those forms that is a bit tricky to make, but look really cool when they work.

They’re fully functional as vases (ideally as bud vases, rather than full, heavy floral arrangements because they are sensitive to changes in weight distribution), or can live happily as art pieces. Or both! Why be just one thing? 🙂

This particular vase has three small openings along the top surface, and sits on a second, unglazed donut base.

PSH 455 speckled clay body with a delicious matte turquoise glaze.
